Cliff End Fort

Set in a truly iconic spot, Cliff End Fort, sits proudly under the cliffs of Pett Level. Here you’ll find jurassic footprints mingle with the petrified forest when the tide is low. The uniqueness of this historic and splendid spot will ensure a very memorable stay.

Inside the property

Sweeping up towards Cliff End Fort with its stone walls, you arrive at the stone gabionned driveway. The property boasts an open plan downstairs which seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The stylish design creates a welcoming and spacious area in which to relax with friends and family, whilst enjoying the incredible sea views.

The kitchen is wonderfully appointed (Siemens double oven, large fridge freezer, induction hob, microwave, 2 Fisher and Paykel dishwasher drawers, Nespresso coffee machine). Feasts can be prepared and enjoyed at the long wooden dining table.

The floor to ceiling doors can be opened to allow the sound of the waves to wash over you. The sitting room has two comfy sofas and two arm chairs that offer a perfect spot to curl up and watch the sea roll in. There is a Smart TV.

Enjoy an open fire for warm cosy nights in winter as you return from a bracing winter walk (or swim). Furthermore, there is a downstairs power shower room which also houses the washer/dryer.  With underfloor heating throughout, the house stays warm and toasty!

Sleeping arrangements

Moving upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, two of which offer uninterrupted views of the sea. The beachfront bedrooms are designed to provide a sense of serenity and relaxation with large French doors that let in the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.

The Blue Room, with a superking bed, dressing room and ensuite shower room is styled in calm blue tones against a rustic slatted wooden wall and access onto the balcony.

The other beachfront bedroom is the Yellow Room, which has a sumptuous French style king sized bed and ensuite bathroom (shower/bath), with wooden slatted wall, glass doors also onto the upper balcony. A wall mounted Smart TV with Sky for a those that tire of the view.

The third smaller, bedroom painted in setting plaster pink to the rear of the house, has a large king size bed with ample wardrobes. The shower room on the ground floor can be used by this bedroom.

All the bedrooms have luxury Egyptian cotton 400 thread count bedding, with quality mattresses. Together with large white bath sheets and beach towels. Travel cot bedding not provided.

Outside the property

Al fresco dining with easy access from the house on to the terrace with large weber charcoal BBQ, a large outdoor dining table it is an ideal setting for entertaining. Watching the sun go down, then take a midnight dip in the light of a full moon when the tide is high – it really doesn’t get more magical.
