How to get here

Getting here couldn’t be simpler. With or without a car. Easy from London, the Channel Tunnel, or an airport.

Driving

Most guests do drive, allowing you to explore the local area for its cultural, geological and culinary hot spots! Each property gives detailed arrival information with maps and ‘what 3 words’ to get you to the front door. For some properties we have EV chargers for those properties that don’t there is a new super fast charging station at Salts Farm outside Rye.

By Train

For those that travel by train, it couldn’t be easier. The new high-speed train from London St Pancras to Ashford International has revolutionised train travel to Camber! It is only 37 minutes to Ashford and then you can either take a taxi (30 mins) or change trains to the Rye train (approx 23 minutes) – check out train times and connections with www.thetrainline.com

Alternatively trains run from Charing Cross or Victoria and takes 1 hour 20 to Ashford changing for Rye.

Buses from Rye station to Camber (Bus route 100) or Winchelsea (Bus route 101) run regularly – checkout their timetable. We can also arrange for cycles to be delivered to your holiday cottage if you want a car free holiday.

Taxi Hire

Taxis can be notoriously difficult to get. They sit outside the station in the taxi rank. But it is recommended booking in advance to meet trains.

Airport

The closest airport is London Gatwick – from there you can hire a car, or catch a train to Rye. It is approximately 2 hours – do take a look at the above link for train travel trains usually change at Hastings, Lewes or Eastbourne. From Heathrow Airport, checkout the Elizabeth Line into central London and then via train as above. Or we can arrange a taxi to meet your flight.
