Starlings, a stylish bijou escape for a family of four (or two couples) is an ideal base to explore the hot spots of Sussex. The famous Camber Sands beach is just a hop skip and a jump across the dunes. The historic town of Rye a short drive away. From bird watching to kite surfing, walking and wineries, there is a plethora of things to keep you occupied.
Inside the property
The open plan living area is bright and spacious, including a modern kitchen with wooden floorboards. Relax into the large comfy orange velvet sofa with a good book or enjoy the 55” smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with induction hob, single oven, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and washer dryer. French doors lead out into the garden.
Sleeping arrangements
The relaxing master bedroom in muted tones, has a superking bed, large oak wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has its own tiled ensuite shower room.
The twin room (3ft singles) has a tall chest of drawers and hooks for hanging. It has its own bright wood boarded bath/shower room.
Both bedrooms have zip and link beds that can be either superking or twin. All bedding is Egyptian cotton with good quality mattresses.
Outside the property
Starlings, the annexe of Seagulls, has plenty of parking for three cars. The bright yellow door welcomes you in. The driveway has its own access, split from Seagulls by a five-bar gate. There is a private enclosed garden with established planting. The garden accessed by French doors from the sitting room, has a deck with outdoor table and chairs.
Things to note
You can book both Seagulls and Starlings for a large family group.
Dog Friendly – £30 per stay
The property has superfast broadband and Sky TV including the Sky Sports package, both of which are shared with Seagulls.
There are a few days a year when the glorious beach is very popular. On these days the field next to the house is sometimes used as an overflow car park but this is not too visible from the house or intrusive.

Such a beautiful and cozy bungalow, it has everything you need, spotlessly clean and super comfy beds. Location is great too, just lovely, we will be definitely coming back!!!

The cottage is newly refurbished to a high standard throughout. We really enjoyed our stay. The beach is a short walk away and there are some great food options (with great recommendations from the hosts) nearby. I would highly recommend staying here.

A very comfortable place to stay at Camber. The living space is comfortable, the kitchen is well-fitted and the bedroom and bed are excellent. Everything was clean when we arrived and the cottage is highly recommended.

This Cottage is simply delightful. Beautifully fitted out and on arrival immaculately clean and welcoming. The benefit of Sky was much appreciated and despite the climb over the dunes the beach is incredible. Ideally located to reach many other places and such a beautiful and historic area.

The cottage is well located and very well equipped. The decor and furnishings are of a high standard and it really is a cosy home from home. We enjoyed beach walks, exploring Rye and the Sussex/Kent coast and cosy nights in. We came home and ordered new pillows the same as those in the cottage!

The annex was a lovely sized lodging with a beautiful garden and it was very homely, the location was great and it's only a few mins walk from the beach which is dog friendly. It's about 15 minute drive to Rye Town which is full of character and independent shops and about 20 minute drive from the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. There is a golf course opposite the annex and a runners track aswell which my partner used a few times and really enjoyed.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! We stayed here for 5 days with 2 young kids, 6 &8 yrs. You can feel and see the love the owners put in when designing the interior. A lovely attention to detail and quiet, relaxing colors. And superb quality of appliances and furniture! The backyard is beautiful, well maintained and so so quiet! I loved my morning coffee by myself out there. 🙂 5 minute walk and you find yourself at a beautiful, wide beach, with lifeguards if you are in for a swim. If you are looking for a quiet and calm place to recharge, this cottage is it!
