What an amazing house to stay in. The history! Well equipped, comfortable beds, beautiful and interesting decor with lots of details and space. Camber Holidays were so helpful with any queries we had. We were a party of 6 and we all loved it. Landgate House is perfect for a Rye stay.

This is a beautiful house. Stylish, comfortable and perfectly appointed. It's a wonderful location, super relaxing and convenient, and right on the beach (with a pool and jacuzzi at the back in case you fancy fresh water for a change). The management team are really friendly and very responsive when required. We had a fantastic stay here and I highly recommend it. I almost hesitate to say just how great it was because I think as soon as word gets out it'll be fully booked forever! But yes, it's amazing and you'll be 100% delighted if you book it. - Sept 2026
This is a beautiful house. Stylish, comfortable and perfectly appointed. What a beautiful stay! This is the second property of Georgina’s we’ve stayed at, and love how she runs the place. It was a family trip - 6 adults, 3 kids and a dog. Plenty of space for us all, and everything we needed to bbq, cook and hang out. Everything was clean, comfortable and working. A stones throw from the beach - you can hear the waves while you sit in the garden in the morning and evening! Just the perfect week! - July 2026

Plenty of space for us all, and everything we needed to bbq, cook and hang out. Everything was clean, comfortable and working. A stones throw from the beach - you can hear the waves while you sit in the garden in the morning and evening! Just the perfect week! - July 2026
We had such a wonderful visit to Rye--and so much of our memorable experience was down to this lovely house. From the carefully considered decor--furniture, lighting, floors, rugs, curtains, and art--to the unique character of the original and evolving architecture, the house really charmed us. We especially loved the large and sunny dining room, which led to a fantastic kitchen and outside to a surprising treat: a cheery and well-kept garden with roses, alliums, forget-me-nots, and climbing hydrangea all in full bloom! The bedrooms were as comfortable as they were beautiful. Transportation from Rye to Lewes and the Charleston Farmhouse and the gardens at Great Dixter was easy with the town's dependable train and bus services. Georgina and co. were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend staying at the Landgate House if you get a chance. It is every bit as beautiful as the photos! We had a great stay at Georgina’s place, the house was exactly as described and check in/out was easy and flexible. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it for a weekend away with family or friends -including a car-free holiday. We had one issue when we discovered the hot water was out on our first day, and it took a bit to make contact initially. But it’s a new system and Georgina sent someone quickly to fix it. The house is exactly as pictured and the beds are very comfortable. May 2026

We had a really lovely stay at Mandalay. The coastal retreat is warm, comfortable and beautifully put together, but the garden and outdoor spaces were a real highlight for us. They’re thoughtfully laid out and feel like a natural extension of the living space, making them perfect for morning coffee or a relaxed evening after the beach. The outdoor areas are private, sheltered and peaceful, which meant we could enjoy them regardless of the weather. It’s rare to find a seaside place where the garden feels this considered and genuinely usable. Inside, everything was spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the location is ideal with the beach just a short walk away.

The attention to detail in this holiday cottage is above and beyond. So much capacity to entertain in such a small footprint. We are coming back in summer, we booked before we left, we want to soak up the garden and bring our parents. It's accessible for those with needs, very comfortable, great for kids and dogs. Location: a stones throw to Rye and Mandalay is 60 seconds from the beach! Our dog loved it! 5 stars from me (I'd easily give more if I could)

Ten of us stayed for Christmas, the bedrooms and shared spaces are ample and the quality of the furniture, bedding and kitchen were of a boutique standard .Very well equipped kitchen .Great location with one minute walk to the beach .Really enjoyed our stay, Georgina and Emma were incredibly responsive and didn’t want to leave .Love to come back in the Summer .

- Beach access for vehicles is subject to the discretion of the beach inspector.
- Parking between houses is not allowed (neighbour-owned property).
- High tide and adverse conditions may result in restricted beach access.
- Guests are required to review access information before booking.
- Bring your own bedding for the travel cot if used.
- Parking on the beach in bad weather risks damage to the car.
- This is at the owner’s own risk.
- Dogs are allowed with restrictions during the summer season.
